“Relay for Life” is an event that helps the fight against cancer. This year marks the 18th year for the Relay. Over 1000 registered walkers took turns walking laps at the track at CV high school. This year the event raised over $708,122.00 dollars. People walk for many different reasons. Some walkers are cancer survivors who when walking around the track shows others there is always hope in the battle against cancer. Some walkers are caregivers who see firsthand the toll cancer takes in the life of someone/ family battling cancer. Some walkers are supporters who walk around the track to help eliminate the word “Cancer”. On Friday June 10th, the Relay had over 3000 people.
Our Team “Hospitality for Life” raised over $1630.00 dollars. Special “Thank you” to Co-captains Scott McCoy and Patrick Murnane who lead our team around the track. I would like to thank all of our Team Members who took turns walking around the Track in over a 95 degree heat wave.
I would also like to thank the Fairfield Inn Lancaster, Country Inn & Suites Manheim, Homewood Suites Lancaster, SpringHill Suites Hershey Near The Park and the Greater Lancaster Hotel & Motel Association and team members who gave donations toward this event!
Sincerely, Michelle Gehman ~ 7 year Cancer Survivor

Come to an old fashioned Car Show!
AACA Museum’s 16TH Annual Celebration of the Motoring Hobby
Saturday, June 25, 2011
HERSHEY, PA (6/2/11). Cruise back in time as the Antique Auto Museum at Hershey presents its 16th Annual Car Show on Saturday, June 25, 2011. It’s a day designed for car collectors, weekend cruisers, and people who just like cars. This year’s Car Show will highlight antique and classic cars, street rods, motorcycles, even trucks and buses, all from 1986 and earlier. Festivities will take place on the grounds surrounding the Antique Auto Museum at Hershey from 9 AM – 3 PM. The Car Show events are free to the public. The Museum will be open from 9 AM – 5 PM, with the back garage open for a donation. Regular Museum admission will apply.
The Car Show runs from 9 AM – 3 PM. A cornerstone of the festivities, it’s a cruise-in style car show for “anything with wheels.” Antique car rides will be available from Noon until 1:30 PM. Food will be available all day, beginning at 9:00 AM. A special hands-on program for kids will start at Noon.
Awards will be presented by class for a variety of “favorite cars” by a special judging panel, along with the Pinola Trophy for the best Cadillac, and recognition for AACA 1st Prize Winners.
Have you ever ridden in an Antique car? Here’s your chance! Several local collectors will be providing free rides in a variety of antique vehicles, including a 1931 Rolls Royce. Rides will be available from Noon until 1:30 PM at the Museum entrance.
Last year over 200 vehicles were in attendance, so there will be lots to see both inside and outside the Museum. Our featured exhibit “Leading the Pack: 100 Years of Indy Pace Cars” showcases more than a dozen Pace cars from over the years. The Museum of Bus Transportation features some of the earliest examples of mass transportation and a timeline of transportation history and a current featured exhibit Buses and Baseball. Buses and Baseball, features the All American Girls Professional Baseball League and the Negro Leagues Baseball Teams and the buses they rode on.
