Thaddeus Stevens Exhibit at Gettysburg College‘s Musselman Library
Immediately after the dedication of the wayside sign, there will be a reception at the College’s Musselman Library
where an exhibit of Thaddeus Stevens artifacts will be unveiled. This is the most extensive collection of Stevens items
ever assembled and includes Stevens’s wig and clubfoot boot, period newspapers and letters, a stove produced at
Stevens’s Caledonia iron mill and a video of movie clips that portrayed Thaddeus Stevens.
The Servant’s Tour: Eastertide Spring Cleaning

Visit Wheatland on Saturday, 7 April 2012 for a special Living History program! The Servant’s Tour: Eastertide Spring-Cleaning will take place from Noon – 3 PM, tours on the hour.
President James Buchanan’s Wheatland opens for the season on Monday, 2 April 2012. Tours of the 15th President’s home will be offered Monday through Saturday, from 10 AM to 3 PM. On the first Saturday of every month, enjoy exciting Living History reenactments from Noon to 3 PM. $8.50 adults, $7.50 seniors, $6 student 12+, $4 children 6-11, children under 6, free.

Saturday-Sunday, March 31 and April 1, 2012: The Hershey Story Museum, Derry Township

The hands-on chocolate lab at the museum allows participants to learn about the history of chocolate and mold their own chocolate bunny.
The “Power of Promotion” exhibit explores Easter-themed holiday packaging and allows participants to peruse the various chocolate treats that have been available to consumers in the last century.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday, March 31, 2012: The Hershey Gardens, Derry Township

Daffodils, hyacinth and tulips already are in bloom, as well as the Lenten Rose and several of the flowering trees scattered around the gardens.
The gardens have grown to reach more than 23 acres since they were opened in 1937. Today they feature themed gardens, a seasonal butterfly house and an educational children’s garden.
This year, in recognition of the gardens’ 75th anniversary, a new garden theme will be on display commemorating the legacy of M.S. Hershey.
This new garden will showcase the revitalized M.S. Hershey Rose, which was named after Mr. Hershey in 1940.
The gardens are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Friday-Saturday, March 30-31, 2012: The Ware Center, Lancaster

The first evening’s events will showcase the talents of international classical guitar performers and will feature a performance competition, lectures and two concerts.
Friday night’s concert will mix the Croatian style of Ana Vidovic and Cuban arrangements by the Lancaster Classical Guitar Institute founder, Ernesto Tamayo.
Saturday will bring the final round of the performance competition, more lectures and a closing night concert featuring the music of internationally known guitar duo, Zema-Lencses, which mixes Hungarian and Italian styles of music.
Announcement of the winners for the guitar competition will follow the concert.
The shows start at 7:30 p.m.
