Comedian Jay Black

Jay Black is the perfect example of living out one’s dreams. Quitting a stable, decent-paying job to pursue a career as a stand-up comedian, Jay was able to satisfy an itch he had since he was a little kid living in South Jersey. Today, rather than watching others make people laugh, Jay is the one up on stage. Visit Lancaster County this weekend to see this funny man in action at the Stitches Comedy Club on Friday and Saturday night at different show times. To get more information about the event and to purchase tickets go onto Stitches Comedy Club website.  To book your stay at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott located about 25 minutes away from the club you can go onto our website or call our toll free number at 888-STAY-FFI.

Lancaster County is a very historical area. Being one of the first inland settlements in America there is history all over the place ! In 1681 William Penn was granted “Penn’s Woods” and it’s likely that the earliest settlers were fur traders. Early groups of settlers surviving to this day are Anabaptists from Germany and Switzerland, Mennonites and Amish who fled persecution and found relative tranquility in this region. The oldest surviving building in Lancaster County is the Hans Herr house, located in Willow Street and built in 1719. Since there is so much history there a dozens of museums that history enthusiasts can visit. Go onto the PA Dutch Country website to see them !

5 out of 5 stars

Not just a show, it’s an experience.

Reviewer: Robert S.

“I had the pleasure of being treated to the Christmas Show on Friday, Nov. 29th as a Birthday Gift. I have seen the show for many years now, and all I can say is that when you think you’ve seen the best show ever the year before, think again. I don’t know how they pull it off, but myself and those with me left with such an appreciation not only of the content, but especially of the talent displayed that night. This is a must-see, and I’m already looking forward to next year’s show.”
